Mei Tai

A friend suggested a mei tai style carrier to me after I complained that the Moby wasn't working and the Ergo (with the infant insert) stuck out too far to allow me to do chores.

The mei tai has many pros! It's possible to get a good one at a cheap price or sew your own homemade carrier. It's also possible to put the carrier on around a sleeping baby that already fell asleep on you. I also love that it can fold up small enough to fit in the diaper bag.

It's ideal for use around the house, nice and slim for doing dishes. It feels a bit exposed when shopping and does not have as much shoulder padding as the Ergo, so that's still my choice if we're going out. But if I need to do chores or fix a meal with a clingy baby, I love the mei tai!
